Van's Aircraft, Inc. is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Aurora, OR

The Quality Technician will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the quality management system within our manufacturing facility. Working closely with production teams, and engineers, the Quality Tech will conduct various inspections and testing activities to ensure compliance with applicable quality procedures and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
? Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, irregularities, or non-conformities in products, components, or processes.
? Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and generate quality reports to track trends, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
? Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of defects
? Manage flow of Non-Conforming Material in accordance with policies and procedures
? Provide real time quality support to Production
? Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
? Participate in internal audits and quality system assessments to ensure adherence to relevant quality management standards.
? Implement quality plans and procedures.
? Assist in Root Cause Corrective Action activities.
? Document and implement process change requests.
? Other duties as assigned
Skills and qualifications
? High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or certification in quality assurance, metrology, or related field preferred.
? 3 years demonstrated experience in Quality roles
? Strong computer skills: proficient in Windows, and Microsoft Suite
? Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to identify and solve problems independently.
? Clear verbal and written communication skills
? Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
? Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) techniques and software applications for data analysis is preferred.
? Commitment to upholding safety standards, quality principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
? Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
